I did some research last week at the National Archives.  They have the deck logs on file as well as war diaries, muster roles and this action report.  It’s an interesting read.   There isn’t any new information per se, but since it was written only  a few months after the ship was sunk, there is a sense of immediacy.  I’ll post more information and scans from the trip soon.
